The Target
Tottenham are in talks with Belgian club Club Brugge over a deal to sign highly-rated 18-year-old winger Antonio Nusa. The Norwegian teenager is considered one of the most exciting young prospects in Europe.
Brugge wants to maximize value
Brugge wants £25m for Nusa and to keep him on loan until the end of the current season. This is to help maximize the youngster’s value. They reportedly turned down a bid from Chelsea last summer, though the Blues still retain an interest.
Spurs leading the race to sign him
Tottenham have been tracking Nusa for some time and have taken steps to position themselves as the frontrunners to complete a deal. If they can agree to a transfer fee with Brugge, they will be in a strong position to sign the promising winger.
International debut goal
Nusa has experience playing at both club and international level. He made his Norway debut in September 2022, scoring in a 6-0 victory over Jordan. Additionally, he became the second youngest-ever goalscorer in the Champions League while at Brugge.
Versatile attacking talent
While predominantly playing from the left wing, Nusa is capable of features on the right or through the middle. His versatility would make him a valuable option for Tottenham manager Antonio Conte.
Spurs busy in transfer window
Tottenham have already been active in the January transfer market, signing Romanian defender Radu Dragusin and adding German forward Timo Werner on loan. They have also sent Croatian winger Ivan Perisic to Hajduk Split on loan for the rest of the season.
